Having Smelly Water Stinks.

Fix it with an all-natural, affordable solution from EcoWater of Central Florida

There are typically two water contaminants that can cause your water to smell like sulfur or rotten eggs, one is Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and the other is iron or sulfates.

H2S is a mineral that is released from the earth and finds its way into groundwater. It’s especially common in well water located near shale, sandstone, coal, peat, or oil.

Occasionally, a rotten-egg smell in your water could also be caused by a water heater or by sewage pollution in the water. If you’re on city water, the most likely explanation is your water heater.

The most important thing to note is that it is ALWAYS worthwhile to get your water tested as H2S poses a serious potential health risk including nausea, vomiting, and other serious health effects.

So how do you fix it?

Depending on the root cause of the issue there are affordable options available through EcoWater of Central Florida. We offer free water testing to determine the source of the smell. There’s no obligation to purchase equipment from us as our goal is to provide valuable information to help you make the best decision for your home and family.

The installer, Mr James Peach, was friendly, knowledgeable,... and professional. He told me what he was going to do to install the water softener, we agreed on positioning and he said he’d be done in an hour. I told him if he needed anything, he should just come on into the house. After about an hour he knocked on the door and told me that the water softener was installed. He then walked me through the basic instruction guide that comes with every 3700 and gave me some tips that should help in running the system. Peach is a wonderful, enthusiastic agent for your products. All in all, it was a very satisfying installation experience.read more
