Does EcoWater offer a solution for alkaline/remineralization for the drinking water after it’s purified?
Absolutely! Some families prefer to have minerals added back into their water once all the nasty contaminants are taken out to increase the pH with calcium and magnesium. We offer the EACW filter which remineralizes the water and raises the pH to 9-10. There’s no need to invest big dollars in a countertop alkalizer when you can get purified water on demand with beneficial minerals added back in and an increased pH. Learn more about EACW

With an EcoWater Reverse Osmosis System You Get:

  • Semi-permeable membranes to reject solids
  • Three or four-stage water filtration
  • Specially formulated pre-and post-filters to reduce contaminants, eliminate odours, and improve taste.
  • Automatic shut-off to conserve water
  • Optional electronic monitor to alert you when filters need changing
  • Space-saving designs

My 8 yr old water softener system recently failed and a... family member referred me to EcoWater Systems. Long story short, technician Nic promptly arrived, explained why my old system failed and the advantages of installing one of his company’s new improved systems. Nic was sincere, professional and best of all not “pushy” like some desperate salesman. I agreed to go for it. The price was reasonable and Nic replaced my system. He explained everything step by step as he went, sought my instruction regarding placement, drainage, etc. and cleaned up everything when done. Nic was indeed “a breath of fresh air” in this age of incompetence. He also assured me if any problem/issue should appear to quickly call for immediate assistance. I feel I can, without hesitation, recommend EcoWater Systems to anyone interested in a water softening system. Thanks Nic!read more

I am writing to share my experience with Ecowater Systems.... During the Milton Hurricane, my water softener machine was damaged and displaced, causing damage to the pipe connected to the City of Tampa's main water line, resulting in water loss throughout the night. Initially, I contacted the company with frustration, believing they were unable to assist with hurricane-related damage. However, the next day, I received a call stating that a representative would visit to assess and potentially repair the softener system. Subsequently, Tristin arrived, diagnosed the issue, and efficiently fixed the machine within an hour. I am grateful for Costco's partnership with exceptional companies like Ecowater Systems. I extend my appreciation to Mrs. Patricia, Mrs. April, and particularly Tristin for his outstanding service. I highly recommend this company.Warm regardsread more

After hurricane Milton, we were concerned that our water... softener system had been compromised. We called Ecowater systems in Plant city and was told that they would have Peter out the following morning. The next morning at 9 AM, Peter was at my door, ready to check our system. Even though it is not the system that they sell, Peter went through it to make sure everything was working correctly, provided me all of the information that I needed to know, and even came back the next day to test the water to make sure everything was working perfectly. We will continue to use Ecowater systems and Peter for all of our softener needs. Thank you guys so much.read more

Frequently Asked Reverse Osmosis Questions:

What is reverse osmosis?

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a water purification process that uses a partially permeable membrane to remove unwanted molecules and particles from drinking water.

What does reverse osmosis remove?

Reverse Osmosis removes common chemical contaminants such as:

  • sodium
  • chloride
  • copper
  • chromium
  • lead

Some systems may also reduce:

  • arsenic
  • fluoride
  • radium
  • sulfate
  • calcium
  • magnesium
  • potassium
  • nitrate
  • phosphorous

How much is reverse osmosis system?

A Reverse Osmosis System cost depends on the type of system you’re looking to purchase. Under sink reverse osmosis systems range from $250 to $7,500. Whole house reverse osmosis systems range from $1,000 – $18,000. System costs depend on a number of factors but are most closely tied to the amount of water that needs to be filtered per day.

How to remineralize water after reverse osmosis?

You can remineralize water after reverse osmosis filtering through various methods. Most modern reverse osmosis systems include a remineralization tank that takes care of adding minerals back into your water for you.

How to make reverse osmosis water alkaline?

You can make reverse osmosis water alkaline by adding alkaline minerals and raising the ph of your filtered water.

What is not removed by reverse osmosis?

What is not removed by reverse osmosis may surprise some. While RO filters will reduce a wide range of contaminants from your water, it will not remove some pesticides, solvents, volatile organic chemicals VOCs (like chlorine and radon), dissolved gases (ammonia, carbon dioxide, oxygen, hydrogen sulfide), and organic contaminants (such as formaldehyde, methanol, acetonitrile, methyl ethyl ketone, etc.).

How much water does reverse osmosis waste?

Reverse osmosis wastes on average about 4 gallons of water per gallon made. If you use 3 gallons a day for drinking, cooking and internal consumption, that means you will waste about 12 gallons, making a reverse osmosis system about 25% efficient. Comparatively, a washing machine and dishwasher use electricity and hot water (which takes energy to heat) and waste every gallon of water they use.
