Fix it with an all-natural, affordable solution from EcoWater of Central Florida
There are typically two water contaminants that can cause your water to smell like sulfur or rotten eggs, one is Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and the other is iron or sulfates.
H2S is a mineral that is released from the earth and finds its way into groundwater. It’s especially common in well water located near shale, sandstone, coal, peat, or oil.
Occasionally, a rotten-egg smell in your water could also be caused by a water heater or by sewage pollution in the water. If you’re on city water, the most likely explanation is your water heater.
The most important thing to note is that it is ALWAYS worthwhile to get your water tested as H2S poses a serious potential health risk including nausea, vomiting, and other serious health effects.
So how do you fix it?
Depending on the root cause of the issue there are affordable options available through EcoWater of Central Florida. We offer free water testing to determine the source of the smell. There’s no obligation to purchase equipment from us as our goal is to provide valuable information to help you make the best decision for your home and family.

Have had a system for nye unto a year now. The best... softener we've had in decades. Ecowater is a great product having great support. It is a very salt frugal unit w/the initial salt loaded at installation finally running out after a year. For sometime the unit had not been properly reporting the salt level. The tech (Pete S) was able to diagnose, and fix, the problem in under 15min's. Even w/the added cost, very much recommend Ecowater units.read more
I purchased my Eco system about 2 years ago. My sales rep... was Joe A., great job explaining the advantages of Eco vs others. I especially liked the lifetime warranty. I had a service/repair visit today, my technician was Pete Sallas. Pete did an excellent job of explaining to me what happened to cause my electronic display to malfunction. He replaced the electronic module - under warranty. Additionally he showed me what he did to prevent the problem from reoccurring. And he left me some free salt!read more
